Pestaurant will be bugging Belfast in June

Our award winning #pestaurant is preparing to pop-up soon in bustling Belfast City Centre. Next month in fact, we will be helping to celebrate ‘Global Pestaurant Day’. A day of tempting people across the globe to try something different for lunch and an opportunity for them to ask our experts about any pest issues.

Rentokil offices in other countries including; Australia, South Africa, Denmark, France, Lithuania, the USA will also be encouraging people to look at insects from a very different perspective. Highlighting them as a viable food source, rich in protein, calcium and iron yet low in fat.

On Wednesday 4th June we will be waving the flag for Global Pestaurant Day in Belfast. Serving up edible insect delights such as savory BBQ mealworms, Salt & Vinegar crickets and for those with a sweet tooth – a selection of tasty bug lollipops.

If you are looking for something more filling for lunch time we will be firing up the barbecue as well and cooking up our sensational sweet chilli pigeon burger tasters.

Come along to Writer’s Square in The Cathedral Quarter, Belfast and dare to take our ‘Pestaurant Challenge’. If you can eat 3 different flavours or types of bug from our insect buffet, you will earn yourself an “I survived the Pestaurant Challenge” badge and a magnificent bug lollipop as a reward.

So put the date in your diary now – Weds 4th June, Writer’s Square, Belfast 10am till 3pm (or until everything has been eaten!).
