Rentokil Initial locations across the UK will #GetNetted this week in support of Malaria No More UK and World Malaria Day on Saturday 25th April 2015. Across the county from Camberley and Crayford to Bromford, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and beyond we shall be decking ourselves in netting (mosquito nets, fishnets stockings, net curtains – almost anything net related!).
The malaria community only has half the resources needed to rid the world of this global killer, transmitted by infected mosquitoes. We are supporting Malaria No More UK in this fight because we know together we can defeat malaria.
Money we raise will help Malaria No More UK in their work to help protect those who are most vulnerable to this disease – children.
Nearly 40% of children in Siaya County – Kenya, have malaria parasites (compared to 4% in some other areas of the country). Malaria No More UK are training and supporting over 300 Community Health Volunteers, who will take malaria care into their communities with malaria protection advice and practical help to ensure children have a better chance of a healthy future.
