A bedbug is a small crawling, parasitic insect that feeds on human blood. A young nymph can survive for several weeks without a blood meal, whilst an adult can survive for up to 1 year without feeding.
Once established a bed bug infestation can spread quickly. They are not just restricted to beds and bedrooms as the name suggests. Bed bugs can be found anywhere that people rest quietly for long periods of time.
