Generally, an appointment will be arranged for a Claim Assessor to visit and inspect the problem. Occasionally, we may ask you to supply more information, such as a photograph of the problem, before deciding how to proceed.
When a Rentokil Insurance Claim Assessor visits your property he will establish whether you have a valid claim. If it is confirmed that you have a valid claim, it may be possible for the Claim Assessor to undertake a small amount of treatment there and then.
You will always receive a written report confirming our findings and if more comprehensive work is needed you will be asked to sign and return a “Works Authority” giving consent for Rentokil Property Care to carry out the work for you. Details of your claim will be passed to the local Rentokil Property Care branch office, who will contact you to arrange a convenient time for the work to commence.
If your problem is not covered by your policy, we will provide a written explanation of our findings.
You must not, without our written permission, carry out or pay for any inspections, treatment or replacement that we may become legally responsible for. We will not make any payments to other organisations for work unless we have previously agreed in writing that we will do so.
Rentokil Insurance also administers guarantee claims on behalf of Rentokil Property Care. Your guarantee certificate explains the arrangements for making a claim. If you are not also a Rentokil Insurance policyholder, you will need to have the guarantee certificate and copies of all the relevant contract documents in order for us to process your claim. Please make sure you have these documents available when you call us on 01342 332 676.
We have an archive which includes records of historic contracts carried out by Rentokil Property Care. We will endeavour to search the records and if possible provide copies of contract documents. We charge a fee for this service.
If you require copies of contract documents, please call our Copy Documents Department on 01342 332 620. We will ask for any information that you can provide, such as the year the contract was carried out or the name of the person who arranged the contract. If this information is not available we may be unable to trace details of the contract.
Regrettably, if for any reason you do not have the contract documents, we cannot consider a claim under a Rentokil Property Care guarantee.
