Rentokil's ISO 9001:2000 certificate

Rentokil Pest Control UK Division’s original Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000 registration was first obtained in 1993 and was limited to the Pest Guard Plus Service, then during 2008 we obtained ISO 9001:2000 Quality registration / certification to cover the whole of the UK business. This new registration assures all customers using Rentokil Pest Control Services that all services / products form part of the new registration.

The accreditation process was broken into two halves, the first being the assessment of the Rentokil Pest Control Quality Management Systems and internal operating procedures / documentation.

The second stage was a series of detailed audits by the external ISO assessors. The reviews included the unique Rentokil Pest Control Basingstoke training facility, which assesses the practical knowledge of technicians at various stages of their employment. During the intense audits, over sixty colleagues were interviewed ranging from technicians through to the Managing Director.

During the audits, the assessors commented on how impressed they were with all the Rentokil colleagues interviewed. They were amazed at the amount of work completed in five months, as it normally takes companies eighteen months to achieve registration.

As a result of Rentokil's commitment and hard work we were delighted to pass the second stage, now being registered to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard for the whole of the UK Pest Control operations.

We updated all of our ISO 9001:2000 QMS processes / procedures to adhere to the new ISO 9001:2008 QMS standard requirements which were released in November 2008 and have now been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certificate.

Our commitment to the ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System values have been validated by our external auditors from MQA following the surveillance reviews they completed during 2009/2010. No discrepancies or negative observations have been recorded two years in succession. This result is unprecedented and shows the high level of commitment from all Rentokil colleagues, ensuring a high quality of service is delivered to our customers at all times.

Whilst conducting the assessments at our service centres, with local front line operational teams and back office support functions, the MQA assessors commented on how impressed they were with Rentokil's continued commitment to training, customer satisfaction and continual improvement. Developed through engaging all areas of the business, as well as customer feed back from the ‘Customer Voice Counts’ programme, well documented processes and standard operating procedures, along with the quality assurance reviews (conducted on customers sites) to ensure a consistently high level of service is maintained at all times.
