The Aberdeen branch of Rentokil Pest Control operates across Central and North East Scotland. This network of local professionals stretch from the Port of Perth to John o'Groats, through eastern Scottish cities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Peterhead, round to Inverness, Fort William and beyond to the Outer Hebrides. We also have a presence off shore in the Shetland and Orkney Islands. Offering customers the benefits of local experts, supported by our national network. Our large team are dispersed throughout Central and Northern Scotland, which allows us to respond rapidly to our customers requirements. Across the team we are proud of the relationships we have built with clients in our area, which range from residential customers, through to business sites, universities, local health authorities and onshore and offshore Oil and Gas companies.
Aberdeen has the largest gull population in Europe, making this a busy part of our work, specialising in bird proofing, roof netting and gull control methods. Seagulls can become a pest problem, especially in coastal towns and cities. Inverness city centre for example can offer birds like Herring and Lesser Black-backed gulls an easy living. A place with an abundant food source combined with rooftops, balconies and chimney stacks to nest on. An entirely natural and effective method of deterring pest birds in the city centre has been through the use of hawking, with the consistent presence of birds of prey in a specific location encouraging nuisance birds to find a safer area elsewhere to nest.
With a large number of distilleries in the North East of Scotland, we deal with rats and mice that are attracted to the running water and grains that are a continuous feature in many distilleries. Our expertise allows us to spot signs, remove and prevent infestations that can potentially result in costly loss of product or machinery. Rodents are commensal, opportunistic pests, making the most of what they find in towns such as Perth and Dundee as well as local villages. Mice and rats are omnivorous, eating anything from contents of rubbish and compost bins and discarded left-overs to fruits, seeds and grains in gardens, parks and farmland, as well as food in our homes if they get in. If you’ve seen signs of mice, the quickest and most effective way to get rid of rodents is by professional, targeted treatments. With Aberdeen largely known its for oil and gas, our work is a mix of onshore and offshore pest control work. Our team is offshore trained to deal with bedbugs and cockroaches on rigs, we have the experience to deter and deal with infestations as we know downtime is a major issue and bed share is at a premium.
