Pest Control Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton lies upon the Midlands Plateau at 163 m (535 ft.) above sea level, yet there are no major rivers within the city, but the River Penk and River Tame (tributaries of the River Trent) rise in the city. Wolverhampton forms the second largest part of the West Midlands conurbation, yet to the north and west of the city is the Staffordshire and Shropshire countryside. The city grew initially as a market town specialising in the woollen trade, becoming a major centre for coal mining, steel production and lock making during the Victorian era. The economy is still based on engineering, including a large aerospace industry, as well as the service sector.

There is a Creative Industries Quarter in Wolverhampton, just off Broad Street. From the Slade Rooms, to the art house cinema the Light House Media Centre and the Arena Theatre which is part of the University of Wolverhampton. The National Trust has two properties on the edge of the city: Wightwick Manor, a Victorian manor house (built and furnished under the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement) and Moseley Old Hall, which is famous as one of the resting places of Charles II of England during his escape to France.
